Upright Leica SP5X White laser and spectral detection
Confocal microscope bought thanks to the FRM (medical research foundation), this system is a powerful multidimensional acquisition machine. Based on the up-to-date technology of tunable white light excitation laser, we can use any visible fluorescent dye from UV to deep red color thanks to two other lasers (405 nm diode and an classical Argon 458-477 – 488-514 nm). Equipped with Hybrid detectors that are two times more sensitive as regular PMTs, the microscope is also easily tunable in detection spectrum with the filter-free patented devices from Leica. This microscope is characterized by:
– a motorized stage in XY and Z (high speed Z-galvo stage)
– 5X, 10X and 20X dry and 40X, 63X and 100X oil immersion objectives
– 3 lasers: 405 nm diode; Argon 458-477 – 488-514 nm and a white light laser (tunable from 470 to 670 nm)
