A postdoctoral position is available at the Mediterranean Institute of Neurobiology (INMED) to investigate the physiopathological mechanisms responsible for post traumatic changes in brain physiology after trauma.
INMED is a mixed entity of INSERM, a French governmental research agency, and the Aix-Marseille University, where efforts are being made toward a better understanding of brain development and plasticity, and brain disorders such as pos traumatic epilepsy and depression.
INMED is located on the Campus of Luminy, at the heart of the Parc National des Calanques in Marseille, France, and offers an outstanding scientific and scenic environment for a successful postdoctoral career.
Our group is interested in investigating changes in brain electrical properties after trauma using in vivo approach.
We are seeking a highly motivated person holding a PhD in Neurosciences (or equivalent), with a good track record in in vivo recording and patch-clamp from entire brain and slices. The candidate will have the ability to develop projects with a high level of autonomy and will have the unique opportunity to access the multidisciplinary techniques available in the frame of the defined project.
The position is funded for 1 year. The candidate is also encouraged to apply for independent funding during this period. Please send a cover letter describing your motivations and research experience, a CV and 2 references to Pr Claudio Rivera (firstname.lastname@example.org) & Christophe Pellegrino (email@example.com)
